Alaska Dishnetwork - Dish Network DVR (Digital Video Recorder) is a receiver that replaces your 'cable' box. It has the ability to record programs (like a VCR), pause and rewind live TV, skip through commercials, and 1 touch program recording. This is very similar to TIVO, but DISH Network doesn't have a monthly charge for this 'DVR feature' (I still can't figure out why TIVO charges a monthly fee).
